Carson Soule is CAS Severn’s CEO and founder. Mr. Soule incorporated CAS in 1978 with CAS'
President, Doug Gerstmyer. For over three decades, Carson has led CAS Severn's growth as an IBM business partner. Mr.
Soule travels throughout the nation speaking and consulting on various topics within Information Technology. With his

Doug Gerstmyer is President of CAS Severn. He majored in business administration at the
University of Maryland. He left prior to graduating to expand a part time business in the automotive industry. While trying
to acquire software for an IBM System/32 computer, he realized how difficult procuring small business software could be.
This need spawned the idea for a software house to create software products and provide services for small businesses. This
led to the expansion and incorporation of CAS Severn, which he co-founded in 1978, with Carson Soule, the CEO of CAS Severn.
Doug has been involved in sales and marketing and has been active in growing the company. For many years he functioned as
the company's main salesperson. Today he oversees the sales and marketing team. He developed the company's current
headquarters facility in Laurel, Maryland and orchestrated the company's move to that facility in 1995.

accounting firm in Washington, DC. Her clients included universities, non-profit corporations, and large corporations in the
greater Washington area. She later moved into the position of Business Manager for an architectural firm that specializes in
historic preservation. Ms. Benarick wanted to move to a larger organization and thus joined CAS Severn in 1993 as Controller.
Ms. Benarick has and continues to contribute substantially in financially steering the firm through
growth including an office relocation, a significant acquisition and various re-alignments.
Mr. Jackson started working with CAS Severn in January, 1986. Mr. Jackson has over 25 years
experience with a wide variety of computer systems with a heavy emphasis toward system architecture. Much of his efforts

diverse level of skill and knowledge with an enterprise-wide vision towards IT initiatives. As a result, Mr. Drew has been
promoted to the Commercial Sales team leader position in January, 2006 where he continues to share his skills and experience.
His growing group of Account Executives has a primary focus on commercial accounts. In his new position, Mr. Drew is guiding
his team with the philosophy of "Our customers' interests come first and those interests are best served by providing every
team member with an opportunity to succeed by removing business process bottlenecks and making necessary resources available
