LTO Family

Entry to Enterprise-Level Tape Storage
The IBM LTO family offers single standalone tape drives, autoloaders, modular mid-size libraries through enterprise libraries holding up to 192 tape drives and 1.8 petabytes for open systems and iSeries storage. The enterprise library can hold an intermix of LTO and Magstar which provides Mainframe support. LTO Write-Once-Read-Many (WORM) cartridges are available.

Magstar Family

Mid- to Enterprise-Level Tape Storage
The IBM 359x Magstar family offers single standalone tape drives and libraries and holds up to 5.6 petabytes with up to 6,240 media cartridges for open systems, iSeries and Mainframe storage. Vitual Tape Storage (VTS) provides the ability for 500,000 virtual volumes for the most efficient backup for large Mainframes. Write-Once-Read-Many (WORM) cartridges are also available.

TS1120 Tape Drive

The IBM System Storage™ TS1120 Tape Drive offers a solution to address applications that need high capacity, fast access to data or long-term data retention.

The tape drive uses IBM 3592 Cartridges, which are available in limited capacity (100GB) for fast access to data, and standard capacity (500GB) or extended capacity (700GB) that help to reduce resources to lower total cost.
