One challenge that CAS Severn hears over and over again from our customers is that the "Network is slow" or that we don't have any network monitoring and management in place, is there a cost-effective solution?

CAS Severn can assist in network assessment, network upgrade planning and implementation, network monitoring and finally network management. CAS Severn uses a combination of network monitoring tools to determine network bottlenecks, bandwidth planning, and network design experience to solve WAN communications problems.

Once the network design issues are solved, CAS Severn can take customers to the next level, with both network monitoring and management. Once the network has a robust design and implementation, the next set of requirements would be to monitor for equipment failures and WAN outages. As part of the network management, one of the most important features is an effective reporting and escalation chain to determine who is fixing the problem, the estimated time to effect repair, and notifying upper management of the work.

CAS Severn has implemented IBM Tivoli and Cisco solutions for network monitoring and management. CAS Severn has also implemented network monitoring tools and solutions for commercial companies of all sizes as well as enterprise solutions for Federal, State and Local Governments.
