CAS Severn has been awarded a three-year contract with Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) to provide storage hardware, software, and related services to the Commonwealth of Virginia agencies (outside of the Executive Branch) and all other public bodies in Virginia. VITA provides enterprise information technology infrastructure services for executive branch agencies and is responsible for IT security, investments, purchasing and governance.
“Winning this contract is a reflection of the ongoing commitment and growing partnership CAS Severn has demonstrated with the Commonwealth of Virginia for several years now,” commented CAS Severn President, Steve Drew. “In the past 18 months we’ve added sales and technical staff in Virginia, as well as opening a Virginia Beach office. Additionally, we have sponsored and presented at the Commonwealth of Virginia Innovative Technology Symposium (COVITS) conferences for the past several years.”
The contract allows CAS Severn to offer special pricing for IBM, HPE, Overland and Quantum storage products and services and has an additional five, one-year extensions available. CAS Severn has had the VITA contract to provide IBM Software and Services since 2015, and is a certified participant in Virginia’s Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned Business (SWaM) certification program, a statewide initiative that enhances procurement opportunities for SWaM businesses participating in state-funded projects.
An online catalog will be available in January 2019. Agencies, localities and other government entities seeking more information on products and services can contact Mark Belluz at firstname.lastname@example.org.
